A new, all-male board of directors has been elected at the Trakehner Breeding Society delegates' meeting in Weimar on 27 April 2024.

The new board includes chair Norbert Camp, deputy chair Dr; Hans-Peter Karp, and members Josef Kirchbeck, Lars Derlin and Christian Röhl.

The 69-year old Camp, the 68-year old Karp and the 73-year old Kirchbeck are all entering their third and last term of office. Camp has been chair since 2016. He also represents the interests of the German breeding associations as their elected representative on the executive board of the FN and on the board of the WBFSH.

Josef Kirchbeck is the treasurer of the Trakehner Association and reported solidly positive numbers for the 2023 financial year as well as for the seven previous years; an impressive feat.

New on the board is Christian Röhl, 49, who is replacing Marion Drache. She wants to focus on bringing Trakehners in top equestrian sport and did not run again after two terms in office.

Lars Derlin, 58 replaces Hans-Wilhelm Bunte, who also did not stand for re-election.
