The National Association of Spanish purebred horses (ANCCE) will be present at the World Equestrian Games celebrated in Jerez de la Frontera between 10th and 22nd of September, supporting once again the Spanish riders and horses.
The main objective of this collaboration is to promote the breeding of Spanish horses and support the work of breeders throughout Spain and abroad with the purpose of obtaining improved results in international equestrian competitions.
Adolfo Sánchez de Movellán Ruiz, president of ANCCE, highlighted that " the Spanish purebred has in the last few years been growing exponentially more than 100% and demonstrates for taking part in the World Equestrian Games, that it is capable of participating in international competitions of the highest level". As a matter of fact, there will be six exemplars of Purebred Spanish Horses participating in the disciplines of Classical Dressage and Cross Country Driving.
An example of the Purebred Spanish Horse within the Spanish equestrian team of Dressage is 'Granadero', stallion born in 1987 and son of 'Remate'. He will be ridden by the international rider D Ignacio Rambla of the Andalucian Royal School of Equestrian Art. 'Invasor', also a stallion born in 1989 and son of 'Pandero VII', is one of the members of the Spanish Classical Dressage team ridden by another rider from the Andalucian Royal School of Equestrian Art, D. Rafael Soto.
The remaining four Spanish horses will form the tandems of the carriage in the discipline of Driving three-day event. Driven by D. Juan Robles, current Spanish champion in this speciality confirmed the "there is an enormous faith in the Spanish horses to compete in the highest levels of competition". D. Juan Robles, who has 20 years experience working with
Spanish horses, recognises that they are "very good and docile animals, with enthusiasm and disposition to work hard."
Also, there will be an opportunity to enjoy the art and abilities of these horses in the spectacular opening and closing ceremonies in which only horses of Spanish Purebred will take part.
ANCCE has been collaborating with the organising committee of the Games since 1995 and will perform two shows with horses from such association.
ANCCE believes once again the Purebred Spanish Horse will, during the World Games, show the general public the strength and vitality of the Spanish horse, a breed capable of competing at the highest level.
