The Trakehner stallion and Reiter Revue Horse of the Year 2000 "Windfall" has been sold to the United States. Owners Wolfgang and Christa Diehm of the Gestut Hoerstein sold their prestigious black licensed stallion to the American Trakehner breeding station
"New Spring Farm", owned by Timothy Holekamp. Eventing rider Darren Chiacchia will be trying for the 2004 Olympic Games with this horse.
The sale came as a big surprise to Windfall's steady rider Ingrid Klimke. "I was offered Windfall as a four year old and thanks to my training he was turned into a Olympic
A-frame German Eventing Team member. I am quite devastated to lose such a personality, but there are two sides to all things. I hope Windfall will rise to stardom again in the United States," Klimke commented.
