Book your tickets, reserve a stand, register as a volunteer, choose a route for your journey, apply for a link or visit the Games facilities - these are just some of the services available on the new official portal of the World Equestrian Games.
www.jerez2002weg.com, with its recent change of look, design and with updated contents, has become the official site of the greatest equestrian show on Earth, and also the best way to keep informed about everything related to Jerez 2002.
The Organising Committee of the World Equestrian Games, through the Jerez 2002 Communications Department, has completely renovated the website on the Internet; an updated site which is conceived and developed so that any user, from anywhere in the world, can find everything he or she needs to prepare a visit next September to the host city of the World Horse Riding Championships, and find out all the details about the event and its organisation. And so, www.jerez2002weg.com, with its recent change of look, design and with its updated content, has become the official website of the greatest equestrian show on Earth and also the best way to keep informed about everything related to Jerez 2002.
Book tickets, reserve a stand in the Commercial Area, register as a volunteer, choose a route for a journey or apply for a link - these are just some of the fast, efficient services to be found at the official portal of the World Equestrian Games, and which are already available to all potential visitors to the event, including horse enthusiasts, the general public, Federations, riders and companies.
Furthermore, the new page also uses flash technology so that visitors can see the Games facilities (Chapín and Garrapilos) or navigate through the specific media zone where a special effort has been made to offer Spanish and international journalists complete documentation on the event.
On the launch of the official website, Antonio Ortiz, Director General of the Jerez 2002 Organising Committee, said, "There is no doubt that today, the Internet is one of the most useful management and communication tools for this type of international event where it is not always easy to meet the demand for information and services, especially when we bear in mind the volume and the difficulties caused by the time differences between countries."
To cope with all this demand for information, Jerez 2002¹s presence on the Internet was, from the very beginning, seen as a project centred on three specific areas: the administrative management of the event, the promotion and visibility of sponsors and collaborating companies, and the communications area.
Likewise, as it had to be, the website is also a faithful reflection of the corporate identity of the Jerez 2002 project, and so Fino, the official mascot, is also the perfect host on the Internet, helping visitors to find their way around the different options available.
With five months to go until the World Championships, the Games portal is already receiving a great number of visits, for which reason the organisers have not forgotten to include a section with links which would welcome all the companies or activities related to the equestrian sector, which would in turn help to communicate news about the Jerez 2002 project.
The Games on-line.
Once the event gets under way, the competitions to be held in Jerez from 10 to 22 September will be followed in such a way that anyone who is unable to come to this great equestrian-sporting event will not miss even the tiniest detail of the Games, or any of the great Fiesta when an event like this comes to a country like Spain.
