The newly released 2002 World Breeding Ranking for Sport Horses, managed by WBFSH (World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses), announced that the Oldenburg licensed stallion Relevant is the highest placed breeding sire in the rankings at the moment.
Owned by Gestut Vorwerk in Cappeln, Germany, and ridden by American Lisa Wilcox, Relevant made his gigantic leap in the rankings by finishing fifth at the 2002 World Equestrian Games in Jerez de la Frontera.
Ulla Salzgeber's Rusty is holding strongly the number one position of the ranking, which includes the show period between 1st October 2001 and 30th September 2002, but the Latvian bred Rusty is a gelding.
