In the third competition of the 2002-2003 KNHS/KWPN Stallion Competition held at Zuidbroek, The Netherlands, Hans Peter Minderhoud dominated all three classes aboard his collection of stallions in training.
Hans Peter almost seems to become the Dutch alternative for German young horse master Dr Ulf Moeller. Minderhoud is Holland's brightest Young Horse rider at the moment who keeps on winning.
At L-level (First/Second level), Minderhoud reigned supreme aboard Rhodium, a black Ferro x Ramiro offspring. Scoring a 9.5 for his canter and conformation and 7.5 for his walk and trot, Rhodium totalled 83 points and received the blue ribbon. Hilltop Farm's Rousseau (by Ferro x Roemer) finished second while Coby van Baalen's newest stable rider Anke Ter Beek ended third aboard Radar (Cocktail x Le Mexico).
At Third level, Minderhoud received the trophy for his ride on the AES licensed Painted Black, a gorgeous black stallion by Trakehner Gribaldi out of a Ferro dam. The 2000 Licensing Champion Paddox (Ferro x Darwin) was very tense but showed a wonderful trot and canter which still made him score 74.5 points in total. Winner of the two previous competitions, Polansky (Kostolany x Donnerhall), had to settle for third position this team.
The undefeated winner at Fourth level was double World Champion Rubels (Rafurstinsels x Amethist). The dapple grey stallion scored 82% under Minderhoud and put stable mate Whisper (Weltmeyer x Feiner Stern) in second position. Third placed was the about to be licensed Paganini (Havidoff x Statuar).
