After the sale of her number one competition horse Inatana (by Latano) to Yvonne Losos de Muniz of the Dominican Republic, Jeanette Haazen has made the Belgian warmblood stallion Rockefeller van de Zelm
the new star of her stable. Winning the consolation final of the Promising Stallion Class at the 2003 Zwolle International Stallion Show, Jeanette Haazen has proved to have a new champion in the makings.
In the Prix St Georges, Haazen scored 'only' 62,75% aboard her Belgian warmblood registered, but Anglo European Studbook licensed Rockefeller. Several small mistakes had snooped into her test and the horse got tight in the neck on several occasions. The combination, however, had a rematch in the Consolation Finals and with 66,67% in their Intermediaire I kur, they dominated the class.
With her Zwolle victory, Haazen has shown that she'll be ready to score in the 2003 show season and aims to enlarge her growing list of achievements aboard this bay stallion. Haazen's most important victory to date aboard Rockefeller was set at the 2002 Dutch Dressage Championships where they became Dutch Fourth Level champions.
Rockefeller van de Zelm is bred by Koen and Mathy Geerts from Mol, Belgium, and was trained and shown as a youngster by Belgian Stefan van Ingelgem. Van Ingelgem and Rockefeller competed at the 1999 World Young Horse Championships after which Rockefeller was sold to Jeannette Haazen.
