Dutch former Young Rider Mischa Koot is moving to Tineke Bartels' Academy in Hooge Mierde and is giving up her own stable Berkenhorst, which she ran with her sister Barbara Koot.
Joep Bartels is extremely pleased with Mischa as additional force at his Academy. "We opened our doors for Mischa years ago, as it was constantly getting busier at the barn. She's the exact person we were looking for. She can teach well, is very friendly and an excellent rider," Joep Bartels said.
Mischa Koot won team silver at the 1998 European Young Riders Championships aboard Berkenhorst Giotto, a horse which was afterwards sold to the United States. She then also rode Berkenhorst Discovery at Prix St Georges level. In 2000 Mischa competed at Grand Prix level with the schoolmaster Berkenhorst Controversy. Sister Barbara Koot was member of the Dutch A-team in 2000, competing Berkenhorst Galliano at various top European shows, including Aachen. In 2003, Mischa Koot showed the KWPN mare Osteria (Cabochon x Apollonios xx) at Fourth level in The Netherlands.
More news on Mischa Koot and Stable Berkenhorst coming soon.
