At the CDI Stadl Paura in Austria, Austrian Nina Stadlinger has ridden an Olympic qualifying score in the Grand Prix. Aboard her Westfalian gelding Egalité (by Ehrentusch), Stadlinger scored 68.417%
which is just above the 68% Olympic limit.
Stadlinger, who lives in Salzburg, is the second Austrian rider to qualify as an individual competitor. 18-year old Victoria Max Theurer preceded her. The Austrian Olympic Committee will have a final decision in determining which riders will definitely go as individual competitors.
Austria also qualified a team for the Olympic Games. Riders included on the short list are Renate Voglsang, Peter Gmoser, Andrea John, Isabella Willibald, Evelyn Haim-Swarowski and Fritz Gaulhofer. The Austrian Olympic selection trials will be held in July.
