Dutch Chef d'Equipe Bert Rutten keeps on expanding his teams. After the selection trial in Kootwijk, he has added yet another two riders to his teams.
Imke Schellekens and the Hanoverian stallion Gestion Lancet (by Wenzel x Shogun xx) have been submitted to the Dutch A-team after a 71% score in Kootwijk.
Though the rule is that A-team riders have to score an average of 70 % in three competitions over a period of four months, Imke's 71% in Kootwijk was the first time that she got more than 70%. "It's a personal record," Imke said, "Nor I, nor Lancet ever got more than 70% in our lives."
Former young rider Laurens van Lieren has become a member of the Dutch B-team. Aboard Hexagon Ollright he scored more than 66% at three competitions the past four months. Ollright is by Van Lieren's young riders horse Hexagon Rubiquill out of an El Corona dam. The 23-year old Laurens van Lieren works for his father in their own stable Hexagon in Schore, The Netherlands.
Current young rider Dominique Filion has been submitted to the young riders A-team. Aboard her newest horse Les Burga, she won the young riders classes in Kootwijk. Les Burga, by Hemingway, was previously competed by Petra Filion.
