Ulla Hakanson's Grand Prix horse Flyinge Bobby has been retired. The 18-year old Swedish warmblood injured himself in February but even though the injury has healed now, he is no longer working as before.
Flyinge Bobby competed in 117 Grand Prix tests and was member of the Swedish Dressage Team at the Olympic Games in Atlanta and Sydney. He won the team bronze medal at the European Championships in 1997 and competed at the 1998 World Equestrian Games. In 1988 he won the Swedish Dressage Championships in Stromsholm.
"I look back with great joy on all the good rankings I had with Bobby," Ulla Hakanson said, "he was always in the right mood for work."
Flyinge Bobby is born in 1986 and is by Urbino out of Martina (by Hertigen). The Swedish warmblood stallion is bred by J.A. Ohlsson. Bobby's rider Ulla Hakanson is 67 now.
