The chestnut stallion Le Rouge has been proclaimed Champion of the 2004 Trakehner Stallion Licensing in Neumunster, Germany. Le Rouge is a striking red chestnut by Pret a Porter out of Lantana V (by Tycoon x Michelangelo) and is bred by Geert Brenninkmeijer from Hamburg. At the auction following the licensing, Le Rouge got sold for the top price of 160,000 euro to stallion owners Böckmann-Wahler.
Reserve Champion of this year's Trakehner licensing was C'Est Bon, a bay Distelzar x Tycoon offspring bred and owned by Burkhard Wahler from Klosterhof Medingen. C'est Bon was sold over to auction to Gestut Sommerlade for 110,000 euro.
Runner up in the licensing was Pricolino, a bay Schwadroneur x Sokrates get bred by Beate Heise. The other premium stallions were United Kingdom (Gipsy King x Fierant xx), Kasimir (Ivernel x Charly Chaplin) and Blitz und Donner (Lehndorff's x Sixtus).
In the auction for non-licensed stallions, there were no real highlights. Top priced Trakehner was Mayong, a bay Linné x Antares x Patron colt, who sold for 21,000 euro to the Nordrhine Westphalian area.
