The 11-year old licensed breeding stallion Danny de Vito has been sold to German young rider Andrea Timpe. Danny de Vito is an Oldenburg branded stallion by Donnerhall out of Finale (by Pik Bube x Lucado/T).
He has been competed internationally at Prix St Georges level and nationally at Grand Prix level under Henrike Sommer-Boker.
"We sold Danny de Vito last week to the Timpe family," said Mr. Becker of Gestut Holkenbrink, "it was difficult for us to let him go, but the offer was very good. The 19-year old Andrea Timpe is already successful at S-level and has received the Goldenes Reitabzeichen this year."
Danny de Vito has been sold through the mediation of Henrike Sommer and Heinz-Holger Lammers, who is currently coaching Andrea Timpe. Henrike Sommers is the steady trainer of the Holkenbrink stallions and is currently competing the Sandro Hit offspring Show Star. "Like this we can follow up on Danny and know first hand, which other achievements he is accomplishing," Becker added.
Danny de Vito has had quite a successful show career so far. He competed in the finals of the Oldenburg Regional Championships as well as in the 1997 Bundeschampionate. He did his stallion performance test in Neustadt/Dosse in 1998 scoring high on rideability, gaits and show jumping. In 1998 and 1999 he competed again at the Bundeschampionate. Timpe will most likely compete the stallion if the Piaff Forderpreis. Her current FEI horses are Welttender and Welfentanz De.
