The Swedish Grand Prix dressage horse Mr G de Lully has been sold to the British Fiona Bigwood. Under his steady rider Jasmine Sanche-Burger, Mr G de Lully was member of the Swiss dressage team at the 2004 Olympic Games
and won the bronze medal at the 2004 Swiss Dressage Championships in Gruningen. The 11-year old Swedish warmblood stallion by Gauguin de Lully is also licensed to breed for the Swiss Sport Horse Verband.
"Fiona was looking for a second top Grand Prix horse so she could ride Nector [van het Carelshof] in the Kur-tour, and Mr G in the Special-tour," Fiona's trainer Dieter Laugks said. "I've never seen a horse piaffe-passage with so much rhythm and balance like Mr G de Lully."
The 27-year Fiona Bigwood has been four time member of the British Young Riders team. She has competed Grand Prix the past couple of years with horses Habana and Affrika and has been a member of the British World Class Performance Squad in 2004. In 2000 she was long listed with horses Macho and Celiton for the British team to compete at the Olympic Games in Sydney. She trained with Hasse Hoffmann as a young rider, but has been based in Germany for several years now at Dieter Laugks' farm in Dusseldorf. With Nector van het Carelshof and Mr G de Lully, Bigwood has purchased the quality horses to make it to the big time.
