Karin Rehbein said about Donnerhall that "he was always a good horse to train. Good in the head, he was always straightforward and learnt everything really quickly."
Dam sire Landadel is mostly known for being a foundation stallion for the Holsteiner breed. Landadel was the champion of the 1985 100-Day Performance Test in Medingen and is one of the rare stallions siring top dressage as well as jumping progeny. In the 2001 World Cups, Landadel was unique in producing representatives in both the dressage and jumping finals, with Leondardo da Vinci in the dressage under Gonnelien Rothenberger andHelena Weinberg's Little Gun in show jumping. In the 1999/2000 WBFSH standings, Landadel had 14 representatives on the jumping list and three on the dressage. Landadel is regarded as the most important son of Landgraf, carrying a double cross of the great Ladykiller xx.

Appearance's dam sire is the Trakehner foundation stallion Consul. The impressive characteristic of Consul get is their great uniformity. More than 30 upper level dressage horses are proof of Consul's dressage talent genes. A total of 320 Consul get were and still are successful in the show ring, giving their sire a dressage index of 120, and a jumping index of more than 100, making him a reliable sport horse producer. As a result, he was given the title of "Elite Stallion" in 1996, and was proclaimed "Stallion of the Year" in 1997.

Over the years, Oldeburg branded stallion Ex Libris has proven his worth as an exceptional dam sire. In 1991 Ex Libris convincingly won the stallion performance test in Medingen, scoring 9.0 twice for Rideability and for basic paces (his very good walk and outstanding trot have to be mentioned) he achieved the highest index for Rideability. But also his jumping was above average (8.33 for course jumping). Ex Libris successfully competed in the dressage arena up to Prix St Georges level.

He sired 2003 World Champion and Bundeschampionate Champion mare Poetin, who sold at the PSI auction last year for the all time record price of 2.5 million euro.
See You's dam sire is the Holsteiner stallion Calypso II, who is by the foundation sire Cor de la Bruyere. Calypso II was a very successful show jumping horses himself but has been highly valued as a dressage sire too. According to the 2001 hanoverian Verband Stallion Yearbook Calypso II is holding high indices for improving his daughters conformation (116), dressage ability (132) with a focus on canter and rideability, and obviously jumping technique and ability.

San Rubin has been professionally trained and competed by Dr. Ulf Möller (double World Champion rider). The dark bay stallion won the Oldenburg Championship for four year old stallions this year and qualified in Rastede for the 2004 Bundeschampionate.
San Rubin has first class, dynamic and highly attractive gaits. His walk is excellent, his trot is superbly engaged and his canter is ground covering and uphill. This is a horse with no flaws and has the looks of an equine Adonis.
