At the Expo center in Hengelo, The Netherlands, the first 2004/2005 KWPN Stallion Competition of the season took place. Judging for the young dressage horse classes were Toine Hoefs, Ton de Kok and Wim Ernes.
The very first winners of the season were Tuschinski, Scandic and Rhodium.
In the First level class for 4-year olds, Yvonne Copal became the best aboard Tuschinski, a Krack C x Pion offspring with a brilliant trot that earned him a 9. Sandreo and Trento B tied for second placed. Under Hans Peter Minderhoud, the licensed Sandro Hit x Flemmingh offspring stood out with his light feeted gaits. Trento B (Krack C x Ramiro) scored with his uphill canterwork. Tango (Jazz x Contango), Tolando (Krack C x Rubinstein), Troy (Negro x Glendale) and Travolta (Olivi x Havidoff) filled up the rankings.
In the third level test for five year olds, the Solos Carex x Amiral bred Scandic reigned supreme. Ridden by Remy Bastings, Scandic scored 82.5 points and beat Karen Galema's second placed Skydancer (Florestan x Peter Pan) with 4.5 point difference. San Remo (Wolkentanz x Volturno) finished in third place, followed by Special D (Metall x Zandigo) and Son de Niro (De Niro x Balzflug).
The 6-year old dressage horses challenged each other at Fourth level. Winner of the pack was Hans Peter Minderhoud's Rhodium (Ferro x Ramiro) who showed much improvement in the trot work. Riverdance (Wolkentanz x Hill Hawk xx) became second, and Pardon (Weyden x Amor) placed third. Prestige VDL (Silvano N x Goodtimes) and Donnerruf (Donnerhall x Weltmeyer) filled up place four and five.
