At the second KNHS/KWPN Stallion Competition show at De Ijzeren Man in Weert, 4-year old Sandreo, five year old Scandic and six-year old Rhodium took highest honors.
Winning at Fourth level in the Z/ZZL class were Hans Peter Minderhoud and Rhodium. The black KWPN stallion by Ferro x Ramiro scored 146 points and was praised by judge Ton de Ridder for their harmonious ride. Remy Bastings and the Hanoverian Riverdance (Weltmeyer x Hill Hawk xx) placed second with 141 points. Susanne de Klein and the Rhinelander Charming (Champus x Lancer II) finished third.
The surprise of the show was without a doubt Scandic beating World Champion Florencio at Second/Third level. Ridden by Remy Bastings, Scandic (Solos Carex x Amiral) received 80 points from the judges and topped the leader board. Hans Peter Minderhoud and Florencio placed second with 79 points. Eventing rider Karen Galema and her Skydancer (Florestan x Peter Pan) placed third.
At First level, the Sandro Hit x Flemming offspring Sandreo was the strongest. Minderhoud scored 80 points for his ride on Sandreo and beat Yvonne Copal on Tuschinski (Krack C x Pion) with one point difference. Niels Bax placed third on the Peter <Poetin> van der Zwan owned Troy (Negro x Glendale).
