Dutch FEI pony rider Mara de Vries won the first Rabobank Trophy qualifier for FEI Pony's in Goes, The Netherlands, January 7, 2005. Aboard the 2004 European individual silver medal winning pony Power and Paint
, De Vries scored 69.34% and took a distinct lead on the second placed Anne van der Weerd, who received 68.16% for her ride on Quatro.
Placing third in this qualifier were Dutch pony team members Robin Beekink and Milkshake (67,90%), followed by Danielle Berning on Boszicht Kimmy (67,63%) and Robin Beekink on Lamento II (66,45%). The show in Goes was also the first selection trial for Dutch pony riders who want to qualify for 2005 European Pony Championship team.
The first Rabobank Trophy Qualifier for Junior and Young riders was already held on December 12, 2004. Tommie Visser, who is trained by Edward Gal, dominated the Young Riders division aboard his German bred Blue Ocean (by Continue). He scored 70% and beat Jenny Schreven on Kennet W (68.67%). Angela van den Berg, who has been proclaimed Rabobank Talent of the Year, ranked third in her Cocktail offspring Mix with 67.70%.
Inge Verbeek, daughter of O-judge Francis Verbeek, won the Junior Riders division with Quidor (pictured). She scored 68.83% and referred Diederik van Silfhout on Der Boss to second place (66.92%). Desiree Senden and Noblesse (by Cabochon) placed third with 66.50%.
