On the evening of February 5, 2005, Vico and Verdi were proclaimed Licensing Champions of the 2005 KWPN Stallion Licensing in 's Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands.
Verdi (also known as Johnson) became the grand champion of the dressage stallions in the champion's ring At the KWPN stallion licensing. Verdi is a Jazz x Flemmingh offspring bred by Mr van de Vleuten from St. Oedenrode and is owned by Henk Nijhoff.
Dressage Reserve Champion of the Licensing was Valeron, a bay Sandro Hit x Houston bred by Mr Beerens from Kaatsheuvel and presented at the licensing by Mr Baw and Mr Domingo. Valeron sold at the KWPN Select Sale stallion auction right after the licensing for the top price of 150,000 euro to Wim Zegwaard. The third place in the dressage champion's ring went to a Krack C x Jazz offspring bred by Mr Versantvoort and owned by Joop van Uytert and Ad Valk.
The champion of the show jumping ring was Vico, a Numero Uno x Ekstein colt bred by Mr Meulenberg and owned by Hans Horn. Reserve champion was the Corland x Indoctro stallion bred by Mr Hazenberg and owned by VDL Stud. The third place went to another VDL owned stallion out of an Atlantic x Jus de Pomme bloodline.
