Dutch Olympic team rider Imke Schellekens-Bartels has been submitted to the Dutch B-team with Sunrise. The combination has been competing at Grand Prix level since December 2004 and is making good progress.
Reason enough for chef d'Equipe Sjef Janssen to add Schellekens to the B-team.
After the sale of Schellekens' Lancet (Wenzel x Shogun xx) to British Emma Hindle, Imke took over the ride on Sunrise from her mother Tineke Bartels. The dark bay Hanoverian mare is by Singular Joter x and owned by the Smarius family.
Tineke competed Sunrise at Prix St Georges level internationally, but she will become Imke's hopeful to capture a place on the Dutch dressage team for the 2005 European Dressage Championships in Moscow.
