At the French stud farm Haras de Jardy, the French dressage officials gathered to constitute the French Dressage Riders' A-Lists ("Group 1") at Grand Prix, Young Riders, Junior Riders and FEI Pony Riders level for the 2005 outdoor show season.
During the press conference at Jardy, Serge Lecomte (president of the French Equestrian Federation), Marina van den Berghe (president of the French Dressage Riders Association) and Christian Paillot announced that France will be candidate to host the 2007 European Dressage Champions for Grand Prix riders. If they are not assigned the 2007 Championships, they want to be in the running for 2009.
The French Grand Prix A-Listed riders are Dominique D'Esme (Roi de Coeur), Constance Menard (Lianca), Hubert Perring (Diabolo St Maurice), Karen Tebar (Falada M) and Odile van Doorn (Parodie van de Wateringhoeve).
The current Grand Prix B-listed riders, who can move up to the A-list depending on their performance this show season, are Julia Chevanne-Gimel (Calimucho), Catherine Durand Henriquet (Carinhoe des Noes) and Pierre Subileau (Sejlgaards Carlos).
The A-listed Young Riders are: Isabelle Bouvier (Porto), Cristel Brissac de Fonseca (O’Hara), Maxime Collard (Robin van het Dashaegheveld), Aurélien Domange (Polywei), Claire Gosselin ( Lizell de Lauture), and Florent Scalliet (Furie)
The A-listed Junior Riders are: Camille Judet-Cheret (Dance With Me Dinah), Anne Chapron (Sweltmeyer), Pascal Cousin (Uranium de Naviaux), Antoine Lion (Concerto) and Elsa Teste Chaffangeon (Hilton).
Only two French pony riders (who both compete in Belgium) made it onto the A-List. Alix Faujour aboard her Eurodressage sold Huckleberry Fin, and Pauline Leclerc with Take It Easy.
The French A-lists will be reviewed after the CDIO Saumur and CDI Barzago.
