Sue Blinks has got the ride over a new Grand Prix horse. Leslie Reid's Olympic partner Mark has been purchased by Blinks' sponsors Doug and Louise Leatherdale as her Bejing 2008 Olympic hopeful.
After the retirement and early passing of Blinks' number one horse Flim Flam, she no longer had a top Grand Prix horse at her disposal. With Mark, she has a 70% scoring horse which creates new possibilities to obtain a place in the American Dressage Team.
Mark is an 11-year old Dutch warmblood gelding by Edison and was owned by Derol Andrews. Canadian Leslie Reid broke, trained and competed the bay gelding and became Canada's most successful dressage rider of the moment aboard this lovely horse.
In 2003, Reid and Mark won team and individual gold at the Pan American Games in the Dominican Republic. She became a member of the Canadian Olympic team showing at the Games in Athens. They won the 2004 Dressage at Devon CDI, the Canadian League World Cup Finals and finished second in the Consolation Freestyle at the 2005 World Cup Finals in Las Vegas.
