The Trakehner stud farm Gestut Wiesenhof seems to be holding summer sales, as they just sold two of their stallions. Sandro King has been sold to Denmark, Maserati to Belgium.
The 7-year old Oldenburg bred Sandro King (Sandro Hit x Calypso I x Farnese) was probably one of the best moving Sandro Hit offspring of the moment, together with Pape's San Remo. After Sandro King's approval for the Danish Warmblood society in Herning, he sold to "Sandro King APS" in Fakse, Denmark. The black stallion will be competed in the future by Stine Bo Nielsen. Sandro King was trained at M-level by Wiesenhof's head rider Fie Skarsoe.
Wiesenhof has also sold their stallion Maserati abroad. The Belgian farm Haras de Quatre Chemins has purchased the bay Trakehner stallion by Partout x Benz and will be standing him at stud. Maserati has been competed in Germany at M-level under Nicole Melzel
"We sold Sandro King because Fie Skarsoe already has two Grand Prix horses in Munchhausen and Monteverdi. With De Beers and the mare Media Luna, she also has two talented youngsters coming along," Mrs Huttner of Wiesenhof told Eurodressage. "As of next year, Gestut Wiesenhof will be closing its stallion station and will only focus on the sport career of Munchhausen, Monteverdi and other upcoming show horses."
