Wolfram Wittig's Hanoverian stallion Breitling W (Bismarck x Maat I) suffered from a severe colic attack at the CDI Fritzens in Austria last weekend. The condition of the 14-year old chestnut got worse by the minute
and the horse had to be transported to the clinic in Munich, Germany.
Breiling W was in such a bad shape that colic surgery was imminent but, fortunately, the Hanoverian was able to pull through without an operation. At the moment, Breitling has already left the clinic and is at Stable Meggle in the South of Germany, before returning home to Rahden, Germany, this week.
