Mary and Robert Hanna sold their equestrian facility – ‘Statene Park’ in Macedon, to Maher Algadrie and Rick Dodd who are partners in Melbourne’s newest ‘state-of-art’ Audi dealership – Audi Centre Melbourne.
The triple Olympian – and winner of three Pacific League World Cup Finals, Mary Hanna, will continue to oversee the general management and training of horses and riders at ‘Statene Park’ in Macedon whilst expanding an international breeding program. Tori Weir, a valued employee of Mary’s for 13 years and a top young dressage rider in her own right, will manage the Macedon property on a day to day basis.
“This arrangement means that both ‘State Park’ in Macedon and Drysdale will provide my aspiring riders and horses with facilities and coaching at international standards,” said Mary.
Mary believes that with Audi as a major sponsor, her plans to establish a ‘Talent Development Program’ targeting 21 – 30 year old riders with future potential to compete at International Grand Prix level, will soon come to fruition. This age group desperately needs more support if we are to improve Australia’s equestrian profile internationally.
