Holland's newest sport horse auction, Expo Talent Sale, was a big success with the price highlight selling for 200,000 euro. The 5-year old German bred mare Feodora (by Ferragamo x Riverman) sold for this top knock down price via trainer Sjef Janssen to Silver Spring Farms in Oregon, U.S.A. The bay Feodora will stay in training at Stable van Grunsven in Erp, The Netherlands, and as soon as the mare reaches a high training level, she will move to the States.
The Expo Talent Sale Feodora should not be confused -- as Eurodressage did in its "What's Happening" November section - with the Feodora who competed at the 2005 World Young Horse Championships under the Luxembourg Sascha Schulz. This Feodora (by Florestan x Gluckslee) sold over the Munster Elite Auction to Munich, Germany.
The Expo Talent Sale was organized by Dutch jumper riders Gerco and Wim Schroder, show organizer Chris van Dam, and dressage trainer Sjef Janssen. The second and third highest price at the auction was paid for two jumping horses. The 4-year old Dutch warmblood jumper stallion Ursus (by Ferro x Casimir) sold for 150,000 euro, while the 4-year old Up to Date (by Voltaire x Bergerac) sold for 140,000 euro.
