From the 4 -6 May, 2006, Australia’s top dressage competitors will contest for selection in the Australian Dressage team to travel to the 2006 World Equestrian Games to be held in Germany in August.
The Sydney CDI Three-star International Dressage Competition, Sydney International Equestrian Centre, Horsley Park, hosts the final selection event before our World Equestrian Games Dressage representatives are announced.
In an exciting year for Dressage, seasoned International and Olympic horse & rider combinations are being challenged by an influx of young, superbly bred horses, showcased in the hands of some of Australia’s most experienced and successful dressage riders.
With a long term commitment to breeding and the opportunity to import equestrian bloodlines from Europe, Australia is for the first time positioned competitively in Dressage against the rest of the world.
The World Equestrian Games will be held at Germany’s home of the Horse, Aachen from August 20 – September 3, 2006.
The competition for Australian selection to travel to the World Equestrian will take place in the Grand Prix competition to be held on Friday afternoon 5 May, and the very popular Freestyle to Music which will be held on the Saturday evening. In the freestyle, highly trained horses ‘dance’ to their rider’s individual choreography and music which is truly spectacular to watch.
Daily admission from $10-$25 pp & children under 12 free. VIP hospitality marquee is available. For further information ph 0418 686 781 or visit the website: www.sydneycdi.com
