Ulla Håkanson has distributed three more Ajax stipends this year to talented dressage riders from Sweden. At the 2006 Nordic Dressage Championship in Stromsholm, Håkanson announced that Jennie Larsson, Emma Karlsson and Ida Mattisson are the new recipients
of 200,000 Swedish Kroner out of the Ajax Fund, which they can spend on training this year.
"The stipend is for stimulating riders in pursuit of getting further in their training, either for themselves or for their students," said Håkanson. Thirty-three riders applied for a stipend and Håkansson was helped by Jan Brink, Kyra Kyrklund and Eva-Karin Oscarsson in choosing the selected three riders this year.
Jennie Larsson worked for ten years at Tinne Vilhelmson's stable. She was also in Germany training with Klaus-Martin Rath and is currently competing her Grand Prix horse Goch.
Ida Mattisson is from Ronneby and has worked in Belgium and Germany as a Bereiter. She rides 8 to 10 horses a day and has made her FEI debut in 2005. She currently has a young Briar offspring she's very hopeful of.
Emma Karlsson is based in Hogsta in Sweden and has worked for Louise Nathhorst. She has three horses of her own, which are eight, six and three years old.
