We're posting some photos first as an appetizer, before offering you the long report on how all the rides went. Enjoy. Ingrid Klimke and Damon Hill NRW (Donnerhall x Florestan). The dynamic duo took an easy lead in the 6-year old division.
The horse is a text book example of suppleness and relaxation in all three basic gaits
A very exciting pair from Holland: Thamar Zweistra and Hexagon's Truppa (Rubiquil x Rinaldo). Lovely self carriage and gaits.
Bronze medallist last year and giving it all they got this year: Nadine Plaster and FBW Dejavu
We loved them last year and we like them even more this year. Anne Svanberg and Gicea (Rambo x Urbino). The grey mare matured much and is looking posh.
Florestan offspring continues to impress in Verden. The Dutch bed Torricelli (by Florestan) under the junior rider Lotje Schoots.
Holga Finken is not used to riding horses for such "high standard" owners as American team trainer Klaus Balkenhol. Finken is aboard Dablino (by De Niro), a horse that looks funky in hand but super impressive under saddle. Dablino is owned by Balkenhol and the former Olympian has put the Hanoverian in training with Holga. He had his hands full in the ring steering the spooky sensible chestnut gelding.
De La Vega (by Davignon) is one impressive FEI prospect.
