The 32nd Elite Foal and Brood Mare Auction was an outstanding success for the Hanoverian Society. It was the first time that such a huge foal collection was sold and the auction had to be spread over three days. 278 of the 281 exhibited foals were sold at an average auction sales price of 9,282 euro.
On the second day of the auction, a regular Verden customer from France established a new Verden price record. He paid 103,000 euro for Skywalker. The colt bred by Heinz Schulze is by Sandro Hit x Donnerhall. The buyer also purchased five more Hanoverian foals at all days of the auction.
The second most expensive foal was purchased by new customers from Australia. They paid 85,000 euro for the chestnut colt Figo by Fidertanz - De Vito. The highest priced brood mare was State Premium candidate Alexis by Acorado - Escudo. She sold for 32,000 euro. The chestnut mare is bred by Heinrich Wömper and sold to The Netherlands.
Almost 54% of the foals (149 foals) were sold to foreign customers. Most of them were bought by Spanish customers (27 foals), followed by Italy (16), and both Denmark and France bought 14. The statistics show that 20 countries were involved in the auction, among them South Africa, the Czech Republic, the Russian Confederation, Chile and Mexico.
