The third edition of the Performance Plus auction became a huge success with ten horses selling for more than 100,000 euro. The price highlight of the collection was the Danish warmblood licensed stallion Sam Sam (by Houston x Zandigo). The stallion sold for 160,000 euro to Great Britain.
The reserve champion of the 2006 KWPN Elite Mare Show, Wonderlady Texel (by Ferro) was the second most expensive horse. She sold for 155,000 euro to Switzerland. The 9-year old Private Dancer (by Jazz) sold for 140,000 euro to the Dutch dressage rider Ellen Spitzer.
The 2006 KWPN Elite Mare Champion, Wiona Utopia (by San Remo), sold for 130,000 euro to dressage rider Seth Boschman. The 3-year old Prinsenstad Materiale Champion, Watch Me (by Sir Sinclair), sold to Reesink Horses for 130,000 euro. Eugene Reesink purchased the mare from his friend Tim Coomans and the duo agreed on a shared ownership.
American Grand Prix dressage rider Kathleen Raine acquired the 2004 KWPN Reserve Mare Champion Unanda (by Olivi). Raine tried out the horse a few times before the auction and bought her for 125,000 euro. The NRPS Licensing Champion Ferrero (by Ferro) changed owners for 100,000 euro.
The American Susan Hudson bought the most horses at the 2006 Peformance Plus auction. She aquired six in total, including the small tour horse Topper (Royal Dance x Partout) for 102,000 euro.
Two Westfalian branded young stallion prospects sold to the Netherlands. Tim Coomans purchased the liver chestnut Furst Piccolo offspring and the trio Ad Valk, Joop van Uijtert and Dirk Kat bought the Laomedon x Lauries Crusadorr xx colt.
The total turnover of the 2006 Performance Plus auction was 2,695,500 euro.
