Preparations for 2007 European Youngster Classic in Bonn (GER) in Full Swing

The preparations for the 2007 European Youngster Classic CDI-PJYR, held at the Bonn Riding Academy (ARC) at the Bonner Hardtberg in Bonn, Germany, May 25-27, 2007, are in full swing.

Host Wolfgang Winkelhues will have the facility of the Riegel Family at the Wesselheideweg in Bonn in top shape for the international show which takes place during Whitsun weekend. The ARC is proud to announce that Luxembourg footing specialist Daniel Barton has now prepared a second arena for the competition.

All invitations have been sent out and the Rhinelander Equestrian Federation expects to receive entries from the best pony, junior and young riders from twelve nations. "We expect to get participants from Belgium, Denmark, France, Great Britain, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Sweden and Spain," said Uwe Spenlen, the show director and ARC-chairman. The Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland and Spain have already confirmed several entries.

The schedule for the CDI-PJY has been set up. On Friday, the first group of riders will ride the Team Championship test as first qualifier, followed by the official opening ceremony in which a festive presentation of the participating nations will take place. On Saturday, the second group of riders will compete in the Team Championship test, which will determine the nations' cup. On Whitsunday, a big treat is in store for all spectators. The best pony, junior and young rider combinations from Europe will perform their Kur to Music for the Individual Finals.
