The world renowned dressage trainer Georg Theodorescu has passed away at age 81 due to a fatal stroke. Theodorescu was considered to be one of the greatest dressage trainers in the world and coached his daughter Monica to three Olympic team gold medals
aboard the German bred horses Ganimedes and Grunox.
Georg Theodorescu was born in Rumania on 1st Oktober 1925 and competed for his native country at the 1956 Olympic Games in Stockholm. He then moved to Germany where he became a legendary dressage trainer and coach. In 1996 he was honored for his achievements in dressage with the German Golden Rider's Cross and in 2005 he received the title of Riding Master.
A legendary dressage master has been lost with Georg Theodorescu's passing.
