Wilfried and Ursula Bechtolsheimer have acquired a new Grand Prix horse for their daughter Laura. They purchased the 13-year old Danish warmblood gelding Monet (by Michellino) at Holga Finken's yard in Germany.
Besides her number on Grand Prix horse Mistral Hojris (by Michellino x Ibsen), Laura will now be training and competing a second Michellino offspring. Monet is by Michellino out of a Rarus dam and is bred by Per Vinstersbølle from Aars, Denmark. Monet was trained and owned by Louise R. Andersen, who worked at Holga's farm. Wilfried was told that Andersen got ill and decided to sell Monet to him.
We are very happy to have Monet in our yard," Wilfried Bechtolsheimer told Eurodressage. "He is working extremely well, seems to be very happy and is very keen to learn."
Aboard Mistral Hojris, Laura Bechtolsheimer is qualified for the 2008 Olympic Games and is short-listed for the British Team. Wilfried Bechtolsheimer also purchased frozen semen of Michellino, the Danish Stallion of the Year 2006, for his three broodmares at home.
