21 Belgian Warmblood stallions received their breeding permit after finishing the third round of the 2008 Belgian Warmblood Stallion Licensing in Oud-Heverlee, Belgium. 21 stallions of 26 that were allowed to the stallion performance test made the cut and were approved.
According to the Dutch magazine De Hoefslag the chairman of the BWP licensing committee, Boudewijn Schepers, was not very warm about the quality of this year's stallions but still allowed 21 stallions to pass. As the BWP society regretably has a lamentable almost disgraceful breeding policy about dressage stallions, this year the BWP society was only able to license three dressage stallions, none of them are branded BWP. They are:
- Don Matcho van de Roshoeve (Westfalian, by Don Christobal x Matcho AA) - owned by Roshoeve and Kees van Oetelaar
- Aaron (KWPN, by Florencio x Record) - presented by Louis Livens
- Unee (KWPN, by Gribaldi x Dageraad) presented by Michel Spaas
Six Belgian Riding Pony stallions were licensed.
