Højbo's Payback became the price highlight of the auction of Danish warmblood horses held at the 2008 Danish Warmblood Stallion Licensing in Herning, Denmark, Saturday March 15, 2008.
The chestnut mare by Donnerschlag x Grandis sold for 505,000 Danish Kroner (68,150 euro).
Højbo's Payback was presented at the auction under saddle by Lene Wisbye Hansen. The liver chestnut mare owned by Bettina Bergwald and Per Christensen is a highly decorated bronze medal winning mare trained and competed at Prix St Georges level. She sold for the top amount of money.
The most expensive stallion of the auction was Sanchez (by Blue Hors Romanov x Camelot. He sold for 300,000 DKK (40,500 €) to the Norwegian Trine Stiansen. None of the stallions presented at auction were licensed.
