At Junior Riders level Dutch junior rider Marjolein Cho Chia Yuen topped the leader board in the individual finals Kur to Music with Cho's Pepper, a German bred Pablo offspring. Cho discovered the dark bay gelding via a TV-show
in which Anky van Grunsven finds horses for riders. Besides buying Pepper, Cho also switched trainers, moving from Coby van Baalen's stable to Anky van Grunsven. The combination won the junior kur to music with 72,67%, after having won the team test and placing second in the individual test.
Cho's strongest competitor was Jarissa van Silfhout on the massive Dutch gelding Trappel (by Havel). They finished second in the kur with 71,75%. Danish Michelle Dahl Anderson finished fifth in the kur to music on her elegant Mosegaards Rico with 65,17% .
