The 2008 KWPN Licensing Champion Ajong (now named Ampere) has won the spring KWPN Stallion Performance Testing. Only three dressage stallions made the cut and were fully licensed for breeding. Four show jumping stallions passed the testing as well.
The dressage winner of the testing was without a doubt Ampere, who was presented at the licensing under the name Ajong. The Rousseau x Flemmingh colt excelled in his basic gaits and rideability. He scores 8 for walk, 9 for trot, 9.5 for canter, 9 for suppleness, 8,5 for self carriage, 9 for rideability, and 9 for potential. His total of 88,5 put him 8 points ahead of the second best stallion. Ampere is owned by Tamerus Beheer, Nico Witte and Reesink Horses.
The other two licensed stallions are Andretti (by Special D x Sandro Hit) and Armani (by United x Jazzà. Armani, who descends out of the full sister of Dutch A-team Grand Prix horse Parzival and who is owned by Joop van Uytert and Mr. Heesakkers, scored 80,5. Andretti (previously named Arrow) is owned by the IPS Horse Group and scored 7 for walk and 8,5 for trot and canter. His total was 80 points.
