A big Bundeschampionate qualifier took place last weekend in the Rhinelander town of Neuss-Grefrath. Femke and Pricolino won the blue ribbon and can confidently go to the Warendorf finals.
In the 5-year old Dressage Horse class, four horses qualified for the finals. Heiner Schiergen rode the Farewell II mare Femke to victory. The Krefeld based professional dressage rider scored 8.1 and won the class. Bundeschampionate record title-holder Jana Freund placed second aboard Furst Fantasy, a Westfalian bred Furst Heinrich offspring. They received 8.0 from the panel of judges. Claudia Haller and Laurenziano (by Laurentianer) finished third on 7.9, while Max Wadenspanner and Diorissima (by Diamond Hit) slotted in fourth on 7.8.
Five 6-year olds made the cut for the Bundeschampionate by scoring 7.8 or higher. Ramona Strucken put in the winning ride on the Trakehner Pricolino (by Schwandroneur). They scored 8.1 and topped the leader board. Jessica Süss and the Luttgen's Oldenburg mare Diamantenbörse (by Diamond Hit) ranked second on 8.0. Anke Unger tied on second place with the Hanoverian branded Rubicello (by Rohdiamant). Jana Freund followed on fourth place with Fiona Bigwood's Hanoverian stallion Dramatic (by Don Frederico). They achieved 7.9 while Geertje Hesse and the Rhinelander mare Chiara (by Conteur I) got 7.8
