The masterclass at the 2008 British Dressage Young Horse & Breeding Championships is an opportunity to learn from two of the leading producers of young dressage horses in the world.
Germany’s Ullrich Kasselmann will be working with the Kasselmann stable manager Dr Ulf Möller and British international rider Emile Faurie during the gala evening on Saturday 30 August at Addington Manor Equestrian Centre, Bucks, from 6.15pm until about 10pm.
The Kasselmann team is perhaps most famous for its annual Performance Sales International (PSI) auction, regarded as the most prestigious auction of dressage horses in the world. Emile worked there in the early 1980s helping to prepare youngsters for the sales. They have a total of around 180 horses in training and hosted the 2005 European Dressage Championships
The evening will include two prominent finals, the Shearwater FEI six-year-old Dressage Horse Championship, a showcase of young equine talent, followed by the Nirvana Spa Young Horse Prix St Georges Championship for seven- to nine-year-olds.
A selection of the Kasselmanns three-, four- and five-year-olds will be shown in-hand as well as under saddle followed by a Q&A session.
Tickets are £10 in advance or £12 on the door, subject to availability. To buy tickets, please send a cheque and SAE to Ruth Tyler, British Dressage, Stoneleigh Park, Kenilworth, Warwickshire, CV8 2RJ or order by credit/debit card (tel: 024 76 698833).
