Nadine Capellmann and her Hanoverian gelding Elvis making progress under new-old trainer Balkenhol. Elvis was spirited and seems to be on a good way, but he made too many mistakes to score really high

Kittel and Floresco not on best form. They started the season so well in Münster in January, but the 10-year old has made so many miles this season and at the end of the season he lacked spark. We hope to see them on form again in 2009.

Klimke was the favourite for the 2008 Nurnberger Burgpokal title, but in the finals, the Westfalian stallion lacked some collection in the canter despite the fact that the trot was outstanding.
Ingrid Klimke, whose hands are always picture-perfect, demonstrated that for her, diversity in the training of a horse is not just a phrase.

Open mouths, blue tongues, bad connection. It also happened in Frankfurt. Holga Finken asked for Rusty's score to be struck from the record because the horse slipped his tongue over the bit.
From the warm up ring other examples of a lack of throughness over the back and bad contact.
Unhappy horse

Polish Maja Wieczorek only got her horse a year ago and promptly moved on to the finals of the 2008 European Championships, became Polish Champion in September and now finished her YR career riding the WC A-Final.
The Australian Jayden Brown did a truly lovely job with a fairly sophisticated freestyle in the B-Final
