Zizi Top, Wynton and Vivaldi rose to the top of their division at the final KWPN Stallion Competition qualifier which took place today in Deurne, The Netherlands.
The Finals of the 2009 Stallion Competition will take place at the KWPN Stallion Licensing in 's Hertogenbosch in February.
At all four qualifiers, it was tough battle between Ziësto and Zizi Top. The latter stallion by Tango x Ferro won today under Hans Peter Minderhoud. Gerdine Maree and her Lancet offspring finished second.
Pavo cup champion Wynton appeared for the first time in the show ring under his temporary rider Edward Gal, who has taken over the reins from a pregnant Madeleine Witte-Vrees. With only four horses in the M-division, Gal and Wynton easily stormed to the top. Judge Toine Hoefs awarded the pair 90 points.
Hans Peter Minderhoud and Vivaldi (by Krack C) have been undefeated in all four qualifiers. "Vivaldi really has everything to be a great horse," Minderhoud once said about the chestnut stallion. "He's a great mover with a fantastic character and he doesn't know how to stop. I really think he's got everything in him to be a very good Grand Prix horse."
