Seidel and Dick and Jane Brown's liver chestnut gelding scored 71.21%. Shannon Peters and the PSI auction horse Flor de Selva (by Florestan) slotted in second. The 9-year old gelding is owned by Laurelyn Browning in partnership with Peters.

Akiko Yamazaki's Ravel is on form at the Dressage Affaire CDI in Del Mar, CA. He proved this by winning the Del Mar Grand Prix which leads up to the World Cup qualifying Kur to Music ridden on Sunday. In the Grand Prix Peters scored 76.000% with Ravel and beat himself on Orion. USA'sSteffen Peters and his Olympic mount Ravel (by Contango) are riding in the last 2009 North American League World Cup qualifier this weekend in Del Mar. His current average score puts him in second place on the North American League Ranking, behind Ashley Holzer on Pop Art.

Steffen Peters left no doubt that he's the dominating rider in the U.S., winning the final American World Cup qualifier in Del Mar aboard Akiko Yamazaki's Ravel (by Contango) with 79.950%. Leslie Morse, who aimed to qualify Kingston for Las Vegas, had to witdraw because her horse knocked himself in the warm up. Aboard her Swedish stallion Tip Top (by Master), though, she finished second in the Kur with 73.600%. Debbie McDonald's 23-year old student Adrienne Lyle is having the opportunity of a life time. She has become the assistant trainer at River Grove Farm in Idaho and gets to ride Mc Donald's sponsor Perry Thomas' top Grand Prix horses. With Felix (by Fabriano), Lyle finished third amongst all the professionals. She received 71.500% from the judges.
