With a brilliant weather forecast of sunny 20°C temperatures, the 2009 CDI Hagen is set to be a fantastic opener of the 2009 outdoor show season. Hosted at Ullrich Kasselmann's impressive equestrian facility Hof Kasselmann in Hagen, Germany, the 2009 CHI Hagen features show jumping and dressage at international top level. The show will be streamed live at www.mediencup.com and Eurodressage will be on the scene to cover the event bringing photos and articles each day.
The dressage classes start on Wednesday with the international Prix St Georges but on Thursday the show will kick into full gear with the Intermediaire I and Professionals' Grand Prix class, the first leg of the 2009 German Professional Dressage Riders Championships. On Friday, the Championships continue with the Intermediaire II, but there will also be the first leg of the Medien Cup (German Upcoming Grand Prix Horse show circuit) and the CDI Grand Prix for Kur qualifier. On Saturday the CDI Grand Prix for Special will take place, followed by the second leg of the Professionals' championship and the Intermediaire I Kur to Music. The show closes on Sunday with the Grand Prix Special, Grand Prix Kur, the Medien Cup Short Grand Prix and the finals of the Professionals' Championship.
International Grand Prix riders scheduled to compete are, for instance, Germans Isabell Werth, Nadine Capellmann, Heike Kemmer, Hubertus Schmidt, Helen Langehanenberg, Jonny Hilberath, and Annabel Balkenhol. Australia will be represented by Hayley Beresford and Lyndal Oatley. Brits Laura Bechtolsheimer, Sarah Millis and Wayne Channon, as well as Swedes Patrik Kittel, Maria von Essen, Maria Eriksson and Nina Hofmann have entered to compete. And the Dutch will also be present in Hagen. Imke Schellekens-Bartels is saddling her number one horse Sunrise and is taking her upcoming Grand Prix horse Ferrero (by Ferro) as well.
The Horses and Dreams' show in Hagen is also renowned for its grand trade fair. In a unique atmosphere international exhibitors will be presenting beautiful and fascinating items in the garden and lifestyle areas each day.
Horses & Dreams will be streamed live FOR FREE from 22 April 2009, starting at 11.00 o'clock.
