Australian Hayley Beresford has won the opening class of the 2009 CDI Hagen Horses and Dreams show. Aboard Rousseau, an 11-year old Westfalian gelding by Rosenkavalier x Apart, Beresford scored 70.105% to win the class which featured a field of 24 international competitors.

It was an exciting Saturday morning class at the CDI Hagen. British Laura Bechtolsheimer won the Grand Prix for Special. Her ride was not mistake free but the quality of the gaits and performed movements was nevertheless high so high she scored 72.681%. Matthias Alexander Rath was to snatch away the lead from her with a score standing on 75% until Sterntaler Unicef, which he showed for the first time outdoor this season, made a gigantic rear at X instead of performing a final piaffe.
