Carola Koppelmann and Rubinio were the winners of the Bundeschampionate class in Haftenkamp, Germany. This year only 6-year old dressage horses were able to qualify for the Bundeschampionate at the Haftenkamp Rider Days in Haftenkamp, north Germany, on May 15-16, 2009.
Carola Koppelmann and her new ride Rubinio won the 6-year old division with an 8.2 score. Owned by American Jennifer Hoffmann, Rubinio is a Westfalian licensed stallion by Rubin Royal x Florestan. With this stallion Hoffmann represented the U.S.A. at the World Championships for Young Dressage horses last year.
Katrin Burger and the Oldenburg branded stallion Salazar (by Sandro Hit x Ex Libris) ifnished second. They posted a score of 8.0, good for a ticket to the Finals in Warendorf. Sabine Egbers and the Oldenburg gelding High Noon (by Hohenstein x Sion) landed third place on 7.8.
