European champion Adelinde Cornelissen has a second Grand Prix horse at her disposal. The 13-year old Hanoverian gelding Wunschtraum (by Warkant) has moved from Austria to Holland to continue his international career under the 30-year old Dutch Cornelissen.
The chestnut Wunschtraum is born in 1996 and is by Warkant out of Woelfi (by Walzertraum). He is bred by Horst Koch from Wolfsburg, Germany, and owned by Herbert Jerich fro Gleisdorf, Austria. Wunschtraum made his international break through at FEI level under Stefan Peter. He was then campaigned by German Holga Finken and last year owner Jerich moved the gelding to Austria where he was briefly competed by Peter Gmoser. Cornelissen made her first appearance with the gelding at the CDI-W Stockholm where she simply schooled him.
"Wunschtraum has had an injury, but that's over now. I'm slowly building up his condition," Cornelissen told Horses of the Dutch. "He's a very co-operative and sweet horse. The more attention you give him, the more he likes it. I don't know when I will show him. First I have to look how he develops."
