Charmeur has been proclaimed the champion of the 2010 KWPN Spring Stallion Performance Test at equestrian facility Driehoekshoeve in Stegeren, The Netherlands, today 27 May 2010. The chestnut Florencio x Jazz offspring achieved the highest points of eight stallions in total which passed the testing with success and are now officially licensed with the KWPN society.
The delightful Charmeur was considered one of the best stallions at the licensing in February, but it was Cover Story (by Oscar x Corleone) which was proclaimed champion of the Licensing. The latter unfortunately was withdrawn from the testing by owner Gert Willem van Norel one day before the "final exam" because the bay stallion showed mediocre performances under saddle especially struggling with the contact with the bit.
Charmeur, however, excelled and scored 86 points in total, two points more than the second highest scoring horse, show jumper Chapeau Vallère (by Wittinger x Marlon). Bred by Huub van Helvoirt, the winner scored solid 9's for trot, canter, self carriage, rideability and dressage potential. His lowest score was 7.5 for walk.
Four more dressage stallions passed. They are:
- Chippendale (Lord Leatherdale x Negro) - 77,5 points
- Cadans M (Sir Donnerhall x Pion) - 76 points
- Carlton Hill VDL (Uphill x Vincent) - 82 points
- Charmingmood (Winningmood x Contango) - 76 points
