The show jumper colt Casino von Worrenberg CH (by Caretino x Clearway) became the price highlight of the 2010 Swiss Sport Horse Foal Auction in Ruswil, Switzerland, on 25 September 2010.
The bay colt, bred by auction organizer Ferdi Hodel, sold for 42,000 CHF to stallion owner and show jumping rider Andreas Ott.
Auctioneer Volker Raulf auctioned 44 foals in total. Several interesting dressage prospects were presented for sale, including the 2010 Swiss Warmblood Foal Champion Dressage Colt, San Valentino. The black colt by Sir Donnerhall x Granulit became the top selling dressage foal. Bred and presented by Monika Hofstetter, San Valentino sold for 20,000 CHF.
Josef Lustenberger's Diva von Buchmatt CH (by Distelzar x De Niro x Rubinstein I) sold for 17,000 CHF, while 2010 Swiss Filly Champion of the Year Orla vom Loo (by Sir Donnerhall x Don Corleone) achieved a knock down price of 15,000 CHF.
The chestnut colt Burberry von Worrenberg (by Belissimo M x Brentano II) sold for 19,000 CHF. This colt is closely related to Isabell Werth's Warum Nicht FRH as Burberry's dam is a daughter out of Warum Nicht's full sister.
In general the show jumping foals achieved the best prices. Corlinsky (by Congress x Irac de l'Ille) sold for 25,000 CHF whereas Quberth von Worrenberg (by Quality x Ladalco) sold for 24,000 CHF.
