2010-2011 KNHS/KWPN Stallion Competition

The 2010-2011 KNHS/KWPN Stallion Competition circuit kicked off yesterday with its first leg at the Hengelo Equestrian Competition in Hengelo, The Netherlands. Zhivago, Astrix and Bon Bravour lived up to the expectations and were the winners of the show.

Only four combinations showed up in Hengelo for the L-level competition. The Belgian Tom Franckx scored the highest aboard the KWPN and SBS approved Bon Bravour (by Painted Black x Chronos). Bred by Mr Van Beek and owned by K. Kelders, Bon Bravour scored a 9 for walk and totaled 82 points. He beat Emmelie Scholtens on Van Norel's Briljant (by Uphill x Darlington x Havidoff) who got 80,5 points.

Scholtens and her 2010 World Young Horse Champion Astrix (by Obelisk x Olivi) claimed the trophy in the M-level division, which had eight pairs at the start-up line. With an energetic and clear ride, Scholtens obtained 86,5 points and referred Theo Hanzon on Andretti (by Special D x Sandro Hit) to a second place.

Another four pairs gathered for the Z-level category. Theo Hanzon and the bay reserve licensing champion Zhivago (by Krack C x Jazz) received 85.5 points from the judges, excelling in the trot work. He beat Laurens van Lieren on Wonderboy (by Ramon x Nimmerdor).
